The United America Project Stands with the Ukrainian People. Reject A Pitiful Peace.
Russia's repeated violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and attempted ethnic cleansing of Ukrainian national identity is a threat to free people everywhere
The United America Project stands with Ukraine and their desire to be free and independent.
Ukraine's sovereignty has been repeatedly violated by a hostile foreign power, Russia, that has consistently demonstrated it is not committed to peaceful coexistence, but instead, seeks the total destruction of Ukraine's sovereignty and cleansing of the Ukrainian people's national identity.
Russia has repeatedly violated Ukraine's borders and ceasefire agreements, while committing war crimes based on national origin, and acted outside of the scope of international law, the proper forum for peace and resolution of disputes.
While peace is always a noble goal, and we can and should and do more to assist Americans at home, our government should pursue a secure peace on behalf of the Ukrainian people.
This doesn't include turning Ukraine into an American colony for resource extraction, or selling them out to the hostile foreign power that caused this war, in a misguided attempt to secure a pitiful peace. Russia's acts and terms for "peace" are egregious abuses of power.
Peace should be pursued, and United America Project applauds the purpose of the Trump Administration's peace talks.
The Administration’s execution, however, is clearly misguided and dangerously bellicose, undermining the stated purpose of peace. Many question how the spat in the Oval Office happened last week, but one thing is clear: the United States cannot afford to accept the word of a foreign power that does not keep its word and has consistently shown itself to be opposed not just to Ukrainian national identity, but to American national identity as well.
Russia First is clearly not America First.
We question the Trump Administration's misguided foreign policy and shakedown of the Ukrainian people.
Support Ukraine and their people’s request for security guarantees. Support a free and independent Ukrainian people. Support peace.
